A favorite salad recipies at my cook out is a tomato and cucumber salad. Mix chopped fresh tomatoes, olive oil and cucumber. Add salt and fresh ground pepper with fresh basil. Dried basil will do if fresh basil isn't available for the salad recipie.

well my favorite salad is truly very simple. I like to take any regular salad mix and just get some smoke salmon, i personally love candy salmon from www.bnemeats.com, break it up into small pieces and sprinkle it over my salad with a little olive oil. Very simple but very good.

Default salad

Salad is a mixture of cold foods, usually including vegetables and/or fruits, often with a dressing, occasionally nuts or croutons, and sometimes with the addition of meat, fish, pasta, cheese, or whole grains. Salad is often served as an appetizer before a larger meal.

And here I add some red onion, without basil but sometimes with parsley. Dried basil is not so flavoured like fresh basil but it's ok.
