Default Healthy eating

Hello all you people interested in ways to become more healthy!

It is obvious, that if you want to experience real health and happiness, that you have to pay attention to your food. Attention to what you put in your body.
With what feeling you put something in your body!
It is maybe also obvious, that you should try to eat as much organic and fair trade as possible. This food is supporting the environement and the people in poorer countries to earn a fair income for their work.

Maybe not so obvious for many people in the world is the fact that you are what you eat!
Science has proof that Raw food has more nutriments than cooked food. If oil is treated with heat or fire, the chemical consistance is totally changed!

Therefor it makes sence to eat rawfood. We eat it a 100% for almost 4 years now, and feel awesome doing that. Our son used to have chronical diseases and we could heal him almost instantly with this diet!

This is scary for some people, because they think they have to get rid of all their beloved meals and tastes. This is not true!

There are raw food alternatives for almost all sorts of cooked meals!
You can have raw
  • Chocolate
  • Pudding
  • Pizza
  • Pasta
  • Bread
  • Ice-cream
  • Cheese
  • Sauces
  • French Fries
  • Burgers
  • Cakes,..................

So it is possible, to eat totally healthy, support the environement by producing almost no rubbish and CO2, and still get all of our emotional and tasty needs satisfied!

Doesn´t that sound just great!!??

Useful but I think it would be better if there were a list of good foods (I think things like broccoli, porridge, turkey breast are good foods) and bad foods ( I think most sausages, pasties and many tinned soups are bad foods). Of course, most foods are OK in small quantities. A web site listing bad foods would be good. It could just state the facts, no need to say "bad". For example, one well know (top3) supermarket sells "balanced" diet healthy foods with a salt to protein ratio about 3 to 4 times the recommended quantities. They sell apparently "healthy" soups containing a days salt per portion. I have emailed; all they say is thanks for telling us. Advice is to read the labels. But a name and shame web site could save billions in NHS costs, as well as be good for as all.

Can someone with more tenure in this forum tell me if these SPAM type of posts are prevalent throughout? I would rather get useful healthy eating/healthy lifestyle/food information than blatant promotions, frankly.

With respect to healthy eating, I'm not sure eating raw burgers, cakes and french fries is the way to go.

However, here are a few alternatives that are, in fact, healthy:

Ground turkey: very high in protein (~19% DV), great for turkey burgers.

Mixed berries (blueberries, blackberries, raspberries): great source of Vitamin C (23%, 61%, 49% DV respectively), antioxidants and wonderful dessert.

Sweet potato fries: fantastic source of Vitamin A, easy to make and is different from the same old routine.

Cheers!

The best way for you to encourage healthy eating is to eat well yourself. Kids will follow the lead of the adults they see every day. By eating fruits and ninjagreens NinjaGreens Organic Supplements

Hey chriskattoll , thank you so much for the link you have shared. Its really worth and i do understand and know the importance of taking raw foods. Raw foods have more flavor than cooked foods so there is no need to add salt, sugar, spices, or other condiments that can irritate your digestion system or over stimulate other organs. Raw foods take very little preparation so you spend less time in the kitchen. I feel happy for being a trend setter to all my younger ones. Right from the day my baby was born i am very conscious about the food she take, the clothes she wear and her living style. I fell in love with HappyBaby food last year when I was given some trial coupons. My daughter loved everything, and I felt great about what I was feeding her. This stuff tastes great and my baby LOVES it! Yes, it is definitely more expensive than it would be if I were to make it myself, but this way I know my baby's getting tasty, organic food and I have more free time to play with her. While i was surfing to order my baby food I found a great coupon for it here, just a little more than halfway down the page: http://www.sustainlane.com/green-sav...ns/_food-drink. How do you feel about feeding organic food for your baby to live more healthy?
