Ingredients:
1 whole chicken, cut into serving pieces
½ cup cornstarch for dredging
oil for deep frying
Marinade:
¾ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon brown sugar
½ teaspoon five spice powder
½ teaspoon soy sauce
1 egg
Procedure:
- Marinade chicken in the above ingredients for 1 hour or more.
- Heat oil. Dredge chicken in cornstarch. Fry chicken over high heat until golden brown.
