Default Thai Fruits

Storage
3-5 weeks at 2-5 C, 90-95% RH.
Do not leave the fruits directly exposed to ambient air because the red rind will turn dark brown rapidly.

Typically, durian, rambutan and jackfruit will keep longer if you remove them from the skins. They tend to ripen faster intact. This should free up much space for you.

Guava and salak do last a fair bit without refrigeration, compared to rose apple and star gooseberry, so i will say put these last 2 items in the fridge first. Skin the durians, rambutans and jackfruit and put them in respective storage boxes and into the fridge when possible in order of durian, jackfruit and rambutan.

I've never had them myself but heard some good ones exist. Any recommendations?

Thailand is popularly known as the "land of smiles", "land of yellow robes" and probably another popularity of Thailand is a land of tropical fruits as the country is blessed with a myriad of delicious tropical and temperate fruits which only vary depending on the season.
Even though a fruit may not be in season, it can be found in candied or preserved form. Moreover, some fruit like grapes are even coached to bear fruit all year round. Indeed, Thailand is a paradise for those who love fruit. Generally Thai fruits are sweet including those which are traditionally sour such as santol and tamarind.

Thailand is blessed with over thirty types of fruit ranging from the banana to four kinds of durian, the "king of fruits". In Thailand there are a lot of different fruits like mango, durian, tamarind etc. Wide varieties of well-known Thai fruits are mango, guava, banana, pineapple, jackfruit, longan, longong, etc. Mangoes are perhaps one of the most popular fruits among Thais.

Mrbrown77, I just have noticed your post - I love guavas! I found that for myself maybe two years ago. Guava is round or oval depending on species. Its outer skin may be rough often with a bitter taste, or soft and sweet. I like kinds which have bitter taste. As I know 100 g. of guava contain 400 mg. of vitamin C. That is the riches concentration of this vitamin in any fruits I know.

As a reccomendation - Sometimes I slice guavas and mix them with pieces of pineapple. Unbelievable! Be sure!

One problem is only - where to buy it/// I used to buy guavas in Castco but recently they have disappeared there// Now I do it through the Internet. but it is difficult to do even through online stores - the fruit is very exotic and people rarelly purchase it/ That is why online stores prefer not to keep it much// Last time I was searching it about two hours and suddenly pitched upon some big directory containing contacts of all stores selling guavas online... Let's see// the name of the site is agbase - oh yes here you go// http://www.agbase.com/market/commodi...=miles&id=1020
try to find guavas there! And believe that the guava's taste you would never forget!
