Default hangover???

So, I dont think this has anything to do with raw food as it comes and goes and has since before I started eating raw again, but a few days a week I am waking up with what feels like a hangover (headache, nausea, icky feeling in my body) and I dont even drink alcohol. I have done a colon detox and a liver detox and have really been monitoring what I eat and cant figure out what it could be? I have been super on top of the hydration... I am terrified it might be cacao... I eat cacao beans often, almost daily - a small handful about every other day. Does anyone know if cacao is somehow toxic? If not, has anyone had similar experiences, or have any insight on what foods might be causes stress to the body/liver???

It sounds like you may be having some sort of vitamin withdrawal? make sure that you are getting all the required nutrients.

The colon cleanse sounds interesting. Did you use a home colonic irrigation kit ?

By now you must have figured it out. But Zara Mari is really right about this. Anyone with symptoms and a history like that needs a doctor's evaluation rather than the speculation of forum members.

Just to add my own little tuppence to what is now a fairly old conversation, I certainly find that whenever I have periods of eliminating things from my diet which I might perhaps overindulge in sometimes then I definitely notice a physical effect. This is definitely true of alcohol, but I also notice it in things like caffiene, chocolate etc - all of the stuff that you might ditch for a while by way of a little detox. A couple of days later the 'transition' might be gone and I get on with feeling healthy and smug!

Get tested for food sensitivities. You might be eating food that is good in general, but toxic for you. And yes, go see a doctor.
